Stephen Ramirez, 64, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on April 8, 2025. Born on June 17, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, Stephen lived a life defined by love, faith, family, and music.
Stephen was a devoted husband, father, and friend. On July 15, 1995, he married the love of his life, Sarah, and together they built a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and two sons, Hunter and Garrett, who were the pride of his heart. He believed deeply in the strength of family and always encouraged his loved ones to never give up on one another. One of his core beliefs, which he passed on often to his sons, was to “never be afraid.”
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Patrick; his mother, Dolores; his brothers, Rick and David; and his son, Stephen Jr. He carried their memory with him always, and is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
A man of many talents, Stephen worked in various trades and retired from his role in maintenance at the Walmart Distribution Center. He was known for his hard work, generous spirit, and the way he welcomed everyone with kindness and acceptance.
Music was the heartbeat of Stephen’s life. Whether it was soul music, R&B, oldies, country, or anything in between he played it loud and proud. His love for music was infectious, often accompanied by dancing, laughter, and moments that became treasured memories.
Stephen also had a passion for cooking—especially barbecue—and was famous for his spicy green chili. He took great joy in testing his family’s tolerance for heat, always with a playful grin. His cooking, like everything else he gave, came straight from the heart.
Stephen was baptized into the Christian faith and a follower of Christ. He believed in God and lived by his values of love, compassion, and perseverance. His faith guided him and shaped the way he loved and served others.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Sarah; his sons, Hunter and Garrett and daughters Sasha and Nesha. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, and unconditional love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Saturday April 19, 2025 at 11am at Pathway Christian Church in Bartlesville
