Wendell Dean Raines
November 25, 1946 ~ October 5, 2017

Wendell Dean Raines, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, entered this world on November 25, 1946, in Prague, and was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, October 5, 2017, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70.

Dean, the son of Onis Virgil and Inita Augusta (McCaslin) Raines, was a resident of Prague. He married Shirley Jean Hildreth on July 8, 1967. Dean enjoyed gardening, working in the shop and being ornery.

Dean was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley Raines; mother, Inita Raines, of Yukon; daughters and son-in-law, Candie and David Gilman, of Oklahoma City, Kellie Carlson, of Prague; grandchildren, Brittany Schaeffer and wife, Traci Schaeffer, Shelby Gilman, Jonathon Gilman, and wife, Gayle Dingman, Jorden Carlson, Audrie Carlson and Matthew Carlson; great grandchildren, Taylor Simpson, Brynlee Gilman and Brody Gilman; brother, Kenneth Raines, of Prague; sisters, Darlene Cox, of Wagoner, June Ray, of Yukon; step-brother, Ray and wife, Mary Carver of Prague; step-mom, Bonnie Raines, of Prague; step-sister, Sandy Mendenhall of Prague and many other family and friends.

The Raines family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague 

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at Calvary Way Church in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis officiating.
