Carlos Placido "Bean" Quintero, Jr.
September 28, 1949 ~ July 7, 2014

Carlos Placido Quintero, known to many as "Bean", was born September 28, 1949 in San Diego, CA to Charles and Rachel [Herrera] Quintero.

He died peacefully at home on July 7, 2014 with his family at his side, at the age of 64. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Carlos grew up in San Diego. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was on the last plane to Vietnam that was diverted to Germany, where he served several tours. He served our country from 1972 until his honorable discharge in 1985.

He married Angel Boney in 1985 and together they got their CDLs and drove all over the country together. He then went to work at The Chrome Link, where he worked for 20 years before his health forced him to retire.

Bean enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going cross country, hanging out with his friends, partying, and cooking. He loved his dogs, who he was very close with.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rachel Quintero; his ex-wife, Manuela; sister, Rachel; brother-in-law, Bernie.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Angel, of the home; sons, Carlos Quintero and wife "Dorey" of Cache and Andy Fay of Germany; grandchildren, Carlos, Caleb and Aaron; and his best friend and "brother", John Tubbs of Lawton. He also has numerous extended family members and numerous friends.
