Raymond Leslie Purdum
October 26, 1945 ~ August 17, 2025

Raymond L. Purdum, age 79, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Bartlesville. He was born on October 26, 1945, in Raymondville, Texas, to Leslie V. and Rosalia M. Purdum.

Raymond attended Dewey Public Schools and graduated from Claremore Junior College. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He went on to become a lifelong accountant and successful business owner.

Raymond was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He married his beloved wife, Jeannie Purdum, and together they shared 37 years of love and companionship. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie of Bartlesville; daughter Lesslie Peek and husband Robert Peek of Claremore; son Perry Purdum and wife Brook of Owasso; son Bill Purdum and wife Tracey of Owasso; son Bryan McKay and wife Yvonne of Broken Arrow; son Brandon McKay and wife Kristen of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Kay Parrett of Dewey and Sharon Smith of Prue; and one brother, Curtis “Lynn” Purdum of Claremore. Raymond also leaves behind 5 cherished granddaughters, 8 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie V. and Rosalia M. Purdum. Raymond was active in the Bartlesville community as a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a proud member of the Oldies n’ Goodies Car Club. He enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, and cheering on his beloved OSU Cowboys.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home, 1600 SE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home.
