Alice Ann (Lindley) Puckett
October 12, 1926 ~ October 14, 2019

Alice Ann Puckett, 93, died October 14, 2019, at Legend at Rivendell, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of Roy Cardin Lindley and Beulah Head Lindley. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK, and received her bachelor's degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and GG-Ma.

She was a devoted church member who was often employed by the churches where her husband, Jim Puckett, pastored. As Jim was in the interim ministry, they helped churches across the country find new ministers. After Jim passed in 2006, she moved to Blanchard, OK to live with her son Bill Smith and his wife Anne.

She was an avid table-game player and enjoyed spending many hours surrounded by her friends and loved ones while secretly planning their defeat.

On June 2, 1946, she married William Smith, Jr. in Tulsa, Okla. Together they had a son, William Lindley Smith and a daughter, Patricia Anne Stello.

On Aug. 7, 1970, she married James Martell Puckett in Claremore, Okla.

Survivors include: a daughter, Patricia Anne Stello, Ruther Glen, Va.; a stepdaughter, Julia Morrison, Muskogee, Okla.; her older sister, Martha Mae Speelmon, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and even great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband, William Smith, Jr.; her second Husband, James Martell Puckett, Sr.; and her son, William Lindley Smith.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
