Melanie Celeste Pritchett

Melanie Celeste Pritchett
October 5, 1982 ~ August 3, 2021

Melanie Celeste Pritchett was born October 5, 1982, in Tahlequah Oklahoma and she departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 3, 2021, in Tulsa Oklahoma. Melanie is the daughter of the late Jimmy, Sr. and Marilyn (Wolfe) Pritchett.

Melanie was a member of Faith Baptist Church, she often attended church at Calvary Southern Baptist and New Life Church, she enjoyed going to gospel singings with her dad: Jimmy. To know Melanie then you knew she loved her family and loved giving them a hard time. Her babies were her world (Big Guy, Toogie, Braelee) she loved spoiling them one minute and tried giving them away the next (inside joke). Melanie was a loveable person who enjoyed life; always smiling and never met a stranger. She loved playing volleyball. She was a setter in her high school days at Sequoyah High School. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed taking trips to watch a Cardinals game. She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews at whatever sports they played. She always tried to go and support them every chance she got, cheering them on from the stands; if they could see and hear her, that was enough for them. They love their Aunt Melanie; she will be deeply missed.

Melanie is preceded in death by her son: Braeden Pritchett Proctor, and her Angel baby; her companion: Junior Proctor; her parents: Jimmy, Sr. and Marilyn (Wolfe) Pritchett; grandparents: Columbus and Nancy (Daughtery) Pritchett, and Albert and Irene (Soap) Wolfe.

Melanie is survived by her children: Bentlee Grimmett, and Braelee Pritchett of the home in Stilwell, Oklahoma; her sisters: Regina Pritchett of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Verlita and Kenny Duncan of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brothers: Mark Pritchett, and Jimmy Pritchett, Jr. and companion Kindra Sanders all of Westville, Oklahoma. Brian and Cherry Pritchett of Stilwell Oklahoma. Special daughters: Tenley and Marlee Jo Norrcross; special sister: Bridget Pritchett. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive her.
