Florine Pearl (Doom) Burns Price

Florine Pearl Burns Price, 85, of Amarillo died Friday, July 9, 2004.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Dale Bigham and the Rev. Ken Holmes officiating.

Florine Pearl Burns Price was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Clarendon, the eldest child of Willard W. and Lucille Doom. She lived for many years in Pampa, where she was a member of Barrett Baptist Church and moved to Amarillo in 2002. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert V. "Slim" Burns; her parents; a brother, Willard Doom Jr.; a sister, Catherine Sischo; and two grandsons, Joe Bob and David Alexander.

Survivors include a daughter, Carola Alexander and husband, Bill, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, DeAnn Bein of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, Issac "IKE" Doom of Okarche, Okla., and Jim Doom of Jal, N.M.; two great- grandsons, Kevin and Ray Bein of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Craig Methodist-Alzheimer & Nursing Unit, 5500 W. Ninth Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79106-4162 or to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
