Ophelia W. (Peterson) Prettyman

October 3, 1915 ~ May 29, 2003

Services for Ophelia W. Peterson Prettyman were held at the Faith Tabernacle in Ashland.

Pastor Curt Wine officiated the service and interment followed at the Phoenix Cemetery.

Mrs. Prettyman, 87, of Ashland, died May 29, 2003 at Ashland Community Hospital.

She was born October 3, 1915, in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to Emil and Mamie Peterson.

On August 31, 1932, in Loveland, Oklahoma, she married A. Bob Prettyman, who died in 1978.

She moved to Talent in 1936 and had lived in the Rogue Valley since that time.

Mrs. Prettyman was a founding member of Faith Tabernacle in Ashland where she taught Sunday School.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and her pets.

Survivors include four daughters, Bobbie Jepsen of Eagle Point; Wanda Prettyman of Talent; Clarence Hemmitt of Sacramento, California; and Yvonne Henry of Sacramento, California; twenty three grandchildren; forty seven great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and four sisters.

Services were under the direction of Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Ashland.
