Morea Prentice
March 6, 1922 ~ June 15, 2016

Morea Prentice, age 94, passed away June 15, 2016 in Tulsa. She had been ill for the past month.

She was born March 6, 1922 in Bokchito, Oklahoma to parents Samuel Louis Prentice and Eula Jones Prentice. She received her BS in Education from Oklahoma Southeastern University. She resided in Bartlesville since 1943. She retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1983 where she worked as a Research Technician for 40 years. She was a member of the Jane Phillips Sorority, valuable volunteer at Concern since 1998, member of Board of Directors at Concer, member of Church Women United and a member of Bank of Oklahoma Senior Advantage Center. She was voted volunteer of the year at Concern in 2008 and Civitan of the Year in 1963.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She was survived by one sister, Gertrude Nance, Norman, OK; one brother Walter Prentice, Bokchito, OK; two nieces, Leslie Nance, Norman, OK, Lynne Turcott, Bartlesville, OK; three nephews, Gary Nance, Eugene, OR, Walter Prentice, Bokchito, OK and Russell Prentice, Bokchito, OK; great nieves and nephews and cousins; special friends Gary and Nancy Gibson, Bartlesville, OK as well as many friends and neighbors.

Morea was a very generous person and as her last donation was her body to the Oklahoma State University Medical Center. There will be no services.
