Chandra Rae "Chandi" Powell
August 3, 1984 ~ February 22, 2019 (age 34)

Chandra "Chandi" Rae Powell was born August 3, 1984 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Misti Machelle (Johnson) and David Scott Powell. She passed away February 22, 2019 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 34 years, 6 months and 19 days.

Chandi moved between western and eastern Oklahoma as a child, but spent most of her time in Elk City where she attended school. She began working off and on in the oilfield to provide for her young and growing family. She continued to raise her family but always kept her free spirited heart and was never afraid to let you know where she stood and what she believed in. In 2010 she met Michael Paige and they began building a life together and enjoyed traveling together. She also enjoyed being out in nature and spending time at the lake.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Janet Paige and paternal grandparents, Bobby and Jerry Powell.

She is survived by her husband, Michael, of the home; 2 children, David Word and Lillian Paige; brothers and sisters, David, Ricky, Ramy and Travis; special cousin that she thought of as a brother, Shawn Blankenship; grandparents, Vernon and June Johnson and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
