Harlan was born on March 8, 1966 in Drumright, Oklahoma to the late Danny Ray Poole & Sylvia Jean (Madewell) Poole. He passed from this life at his home on January 6, 2026 at the age of 59 years, 9 months, & 29 days.
Harlan Ray Poole, known as Hippie to his friends and family, received his education in Bristow and Drumright and later obtained his GED.
Harlan's love for music came at an early age. Harlan's family would travel to local churches as the singing Poole family where Jeannie would play hymns and the boys would sing. Harlan never had a music lesson and could pick up any instrument and play by ear. At 16, Harlan started traveling with Tony Rogers Evangelistic Gospel band.
Harlan met his 1st wife and love Mary Mason in Drumright. Harlan and Mary wed on June 21, 1985, and continued traveling with the gospel band. Harlan and Mary welcomed their daughter Ashleigh Nichole in May of 1988.
Harlan became a police officer and auxiliary firefighter for Yale PD in 1986. Harlan later became a dog catcher and a city worker for Yale.
Harlan remarried and enjoyed being a stepfather to his 2 stepchildren.
Harlan's love for music led him all over, including Nashville, playing and singing for many years! Harlan moved back to Oilton to be close to his family, which he loved dearly! Harlan worked for several years with his father, brothers, and beloved nephews Jordan and Gerad rebuilding pallets. Harlan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing and singing for them, and always trying to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. Harlan touched the hearts of many people in his life, spreading his light and love to all those he met. Harlan will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
Harlan was preceded in death by his father Danny Poole, his mother Jeannie Poole, and his brother Dan Poole.
He is survived by his Daughter: Ashleigh Null of Drumright; Brothers: Mark Poole of Oilton - Harold Poole of Yale; Granddaughter: Chloeigh Null of Drumright; & Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other family & friends which he loved dearly.
