Lorraine Avis Plummer was born to Mr. Vernon C. Kahre and Ethel Ward Kahre on December 8, 1939, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was promoted to her heavenly reward on February 5, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She received her early schooling while living in Colorado Springs attending a private church sponsored school. During high school she attended a Christian academy operated by the Pilgrim Holiness Church. Her college education was taken at Central Pilgrim College, now known at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
On August 15, 1961, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she was united in marriage to Garry D. Plummer. For 2 ½ years she was the head cook at Central Pilgrim College. Following that employment she moved with her husband to Kansas where they were involved in pastoral ministry for 32 years. Lorraine was much involved in that ministry in teaching children's Sunday School classes, leading the midweek children's organization, assisting musically in the worship services in playing the piano or singing, along with the many other responsibilities that tend to fall upon the pastor's wife. She was a loving, loyal, and faithful companion and a wonderful asset to their ministry. She was a committed Christian and a faithful follower of her Lord Jesus Christ. Upon her husband's retirement the couple moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in May of 1998 where she was residing at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her younger sister Muriel (Kahre) McNutt, and her older brother Alfred Kahre.
Lorraine was the mother of three children: Vernon, Myrna, and Stephen.
She is survived by her husband, Garry D. Plummer; her three children, Vernon Plummer and his wife Norma, Myrna King and her husband Gerald, Stephen Plummer and his wife Korie; seven grandchildren, Chantel White and her husband Zeb, Mariah Cooks and her husband Steven, Desirae Schoeppey and her husband Isaac, Keegan King and his wife Kayla, Kieran King and his wife Joy, Blair and Nathaniel Plummer; nine great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Evryn and Zayne Cooks, Cambria, Demri, and Avril White, Graylyn and Walker Shively and Bailor Lorraine Schoeppey; three brothers, Gerald Kahre of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dwight Kahre of Salina, Kansas, Dennis Kahre of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and a host of friends too numerous to mention.
