Wilbur Platt

Aug. 22, 1932 ~ March 5, 2014

ENID, OK - A memorial service for Wilbur Platt, age 81, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Wilbur was born to Wilbur and Gilberta Platt on Aug. 22, 1932, in Jet, and passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014,in Enid.

Wilbur graduated from Jet High School in 1950. He then served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Lawton, Okla. On Jan. 28, 1961, he married Kathryn Louise Gilbert and they were married for over 53 years. He had three step-children: Sandra, Bernie and Randy. Wilbur and Kathryn lived in Jet and Enid. He worked for Clinesmith Furniture Store, George E. Failing and Alfalfa County.

Wilbur is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Enid; sister, Bertie Krausse of Enid; two step-daughters, Sandra Page and Bernice Myers; five grandchildren: Kimberley Boyce, Mark and Theresa Myers, Brian Page, Bryce and Tracey Page and Brandon and Lori Page; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, three brothers, one sister; one step-son, Randy, and two sons-in-law.
