Kenneth James Pittman, age 63, a native of Kansas City, Kansas and a resident of Madera since 2003 passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009 at Westgate Manor following an extended illness. Kenneth was a Postal Worker for the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. He grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he attended school. Kenneth later served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War from 1964 thru 1968. He was a former resident of Pasadena before moving to Madera.

In his leisure time Kenneth enjoyed bowling and basketball, and well as watching his favorite golfer Tiger Woods on Television and keeping up on current events on CNN.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Joyce Fulsom Pittman of Madera, his mother Mrs. Bertha Pittman of Kansas City, his children, Keith Pittman of Madera and Karla Pittman of Duarte, Ca. Also surviving are his two half brothers, Jesse Jefferson of Arkansas, and Douglas Elliott of Texas. He is the grandfather of Kiara J. Pittman, Kyle L. Pittman, Kylia L. Pittman, Andrew J. Pena and Daijaa J. Soto.

Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2009 from 2 to 8 PM and Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 10 to 2 PM in Jay Chapel with a Funeral Service following at 2 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Jay Chapel. Services will conclude at Jay Chapel. Private Interment will be in Arbor Vitae Cemetery. Friends may send condolences to the family on web page www.jaychapel.com
