Thank You For Your Service!

Joe R. Piper

Joe R. Piper
November 3, 1956 ~ October 13, 2021

Joe Piper was born November 3, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away October 13, 2021, after a brief illness.

After graduating from Chisholm High School in 1974, he joined the U.S. Air Force in July 1975. He proudly served his country for twenty years.

In July 1982, Joe married Kathy Jo Gebur. They recently celebrated thirty-nine years together.

Joe was always such a hard worker. It wasn't uncommon for him to work three jobs at once, always wanting to provide for his family. He was known to race at Enid Speedway, worked at Oakwood Bowl for several years and began working at Stevens Ford in April 2006, where he was an automotive repair technician. Joe always made sure everything was taken care of at the dealership. He was still working there at the time of his death.

Joe was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He touched the hearts of many people and was always willing to help anyone in need. But those that knew him best also knew he liked to joke and pulled many pranks over the years. He especially enjoyed getting together with friends, in any type of clever costume, to take on a bowling challenge.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children, Derick, Sam and Tiffany; six grandchildren and countless other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The family has asked that if you have a memory to share at that time, please do so. If you would rather have it read at the service, please send to email@enidwecare.com. Visitation with family and friends will be 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Condolences may be given online at www.enidwecare.com.
