James Russell Pierce

February 3, 1944 ~ June 7, 2016

James Russell Pierce passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home in Pawhuska following a lengthy illness. He was 72 years old.

Jim was born February 3, 1944 in Pasco, Washington, the son of James William and Pauline Lucille (Mannon) Pierce. He was a graduate of Pawhuska High School with the Class of 1963. While in school, he was a member of the Key Club and Band. On May 31, 1963, he married the former Rozanne Severns in Pawhuska. While living in California, Jim was a member of the Community Orchestra in Coalinga. A member of the Nazarene Church, Jim enjoyed fishing and motorcycling in his spare time. Jim worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight before his retirement.

Surviving family includes:
His wife: Rozanne of the home;
Two sons: Jimmy Pierce and Randy Pierce;
Two grandchildren: Kylie Pierce and Brendyn Pierce;
Two brothers: Donald Pierce and Ronald Wayne Pierce;
As well as a host of other family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.

It was Jim's wish to be cremated. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 10, 4:00PM, at the McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Kathy Morris will officiate. Interment of the cremains will follow.

McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
