Darlene M. Phillips

July 31, 1931 ~ March 12, 2002

WELLINGTON, Kan. - Darlene M. Phillips, 70, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002.

Memorial services were at 4 p.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Charles Taff officiating. Private family burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery by Day Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips was born July 31, 1931, in Sitka, Kan. She married Samuel T. Phillips II on Nov. 12, 1976, in Wellington.

Survivors include a son, James Cobb of Wellington; a daughter, Lorna Cobb of Wellington; two stepsons, Samuel T. Phillips III of Euless and Robert Phillips of Altus, Okla.; six sisters, Frances Watkins of Sunnyvale, Calif., Viola Swaffer of Haysville, Gladys Holsworth and Joyce Burden, both of Wellington, Christene Wahl of Arlington, Va., and Kathryn Dugan of Wichita; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 3267, Wichita, KS 67201-9705; or First Assembly of God Church Building Fund, 326 W. Botkin St., Wellington, KS 67152.
