Betty Jean (King) Philley

July 11, 1939 ~ April 17, 2004

Our beloved Betty passed safely into the arms of the Lord in the early hours of April 17th. Services will be held Thursday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m., at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Avenue. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1700 River Blvd.

Betty was born July 11, 1939, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Earl and Ann King. She was preceded in death by her precious children, Buddy Ray and Brianna; father, Earl, brothers, Larry and Richard King and stepfather, John Miller. She is survived by Terry, her husband of 30 years; her mother, Ann Miller, brother, Jim Johnson and his wife, Boots; sister, Janet Easton; stepchildren, Scott and Tracy and husband, Bruce; many nieces and nephews and their families; sister-in-law, Shirley Van Winkle and family; also Katie Beecher and family.

Betty loved her church and was a devoted Christian. She was a loving example to all who knew her. Her distinctive laugh was contagious, and that sound will surely be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Valley Baptist Church Building Fund.

Visitation is private.
