Cleo Philbrick

May 18, 1930 ~ Feb. 12, 2014

ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Cleo Philbrick, 83, of Nash, Okla., will be 10 a.m. today, Feb. 15, 2014, at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, with Pastor Gary Lillie officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Service is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Cleo was born May 18, 1930, in Vining, Okla., the son of Merl and Berneice Hart Philbrick. He passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Cleo was united in marriage on Nov. 10, 1949, to Billie Schuermann.

He owned and operated A&C Garage Inc. in Enid for over 50 years. He also farmed for many years in Nash, Okla.

Cleo was a member of North Enid Lion's Club, Enid Antique Car Club and Bethel Hawley Baptist Church. He served for many years as a volunteer with the Hawley Fire Department. His hobbies included restoring old tractors and rebuilding old engines. He and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, visiting many places in the United States. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Billie; two daughters, Cathy Grim of Enid and Janie Begbie and husband Daniel of Edmond, Okla.; son, Ronald M. Philbrick and wife Carol of Nash; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Darla Summers of Guymon, Okla.; and one brother, RJ Philbrick of Waukomis, Okla.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hawley Fire Department, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
