Bobby Jo Phelps

Bobby Jo Phelps
September 6, 1940 ~ February 8, 2020

Bobby Jo Phelps, a resident of Calera, Oklahoma and proud member of the Choctaw Nation passed from this life on February 8, 2020 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 79. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Ted Phelps and Lois McDaniel Phelps on September 6, 1940. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday February 22, 2020 at the Highland Chapel at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma.

Bobby was married to Ann Curry Phelps and they shared their lives raising their child in the country. Bobby was a man who truly appreciated being outside fishing and hunting. He spent his life caring for his home and ranch. Bobby enjoyed driving around his ranch on his four-wheeler checking his cows. He cherish his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Phelps is survived by his son, Kenny Phelps of Durant, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Kim Phelps and wife Jennifer of Durant, Oklahoma, Falon Nelson and husband Chris of Durant, Oklahoma, great grandchildren, Harlee Mullens, Jake Mullens, Presley Nelson, Matthew Phelps, step-grandson, Braydon Wright, brother, MJ Phelps and wife Billie Gayle of Garland, Texas, sister-in-law, Marvetta Phelps of Old Allison, Niece, Gina Harris, nephews, Jason Phelps, Rayford Phelps, Jimmy Edelen, Joey Edelen, Tim Phelps, niece, Debbie Wells, aunt, Aunt Dorothy, and life long friend, Kenneth .

Mr. Phelps was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Phelps, parents, Ted and Lois Phelps, brother, Benny Phelps, and sister, Pat Edelen.
