Kenneth Lavern Petrov

May 7, 1949 ~ December 2, 2020 (age 71)

Kenneth Lavern Petrov was born May 7, 1949 in Chickasha to Andrew and Elsie Lee (Freed) Petrov. He passed away December 2, 2020 in Edmond at the age of 71.

Kenny proudly served in the United States Army which included a tour in Vietnam. He was a tire builder for Dayton Tire where he retired in 2008. He since enjoyed his time with fellow retirees sharing lunch monthly which he so looked forward to. Kenny was an avid OSU fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and going to gun shows. He loved his toys and collected all things movies, DVD’s, cassettes, 8-track, 4-track, and replica cars. Kenny was a wonderful strong family man who was always there if you needed help with anything. He loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Elsie Petrov; sister, Ura Lee Brown; and grandson-in-law, Cody Foster. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Maxine (Brown) Petrov of the home; daughters, Kendra Kyle and her husband Eddie of Blanchard, Kelli Woods and her husband James of Idabel; (2) grandchildren, Chelsie Foster and her fiancé Kyle Murray of Newcastle, Joseph Hunley of Wichita Falls, TX; (1) great-grandson, Bentley Foster; sister, Sylvia Styles of Louisiana; along with other family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel.
