John Thomas Perrier, III

Pawhuska - Longtime Pawhuska resident John Thomas Perrier, III, 71, passed away March 7, 2022, at home in Pawhuska, Ok.

John was born April 28, 1950, in Lexington, KY to Carol and John Thomas Perrier II.

John proudly enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17. John served his country for 3 years which included a tour in Vietnam and remained close with a few brothers he served with.

John married Donna McCauley from Barnsdall, OK on October 7, 1968. They were married for 53 years. They raised two children in Pawhuska. John had a love for sports, including attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events, coaching American Legion baseball and along with his extra parental duties chauffeuring all their teammates to and from the various tournaments throughout the states. John particularly loved to watch college sports and was an avid fan of Oklahoma Sooners football team.

In his early years, John enjoyed photography, music and traveling with his band Ezra. John became a self-taught Master Carpenter who started his own construction business. Throughout his many years of carpentry two of his proudest projects were his family residences he built. He also excelled in upholstery.

John is survived by his wife Donna, his daughter Kimberly Dawn and Jerold Jorschick of Charlotte, NC, and son Michael Jon and Jenny Perrier of Pawhuska, OK along with his sisters Teena (Franklin) McKinley and Karen Cedar, grandchildren Dax (Jessy) Perrier, Tanner (Tiffany) Campbell, Price Perrier and Caroline Perrier and great grandchildren Channing, Ledger and Kove.

John was preceded in death by his parents Carol and John Perrier II, younger brother Benny Perrier, and half-brother Bill Newsome and great grandchild Dake Perrier.

A Celebration of his life with full military honors will be announced for a later date.
