Raymond Holmes "Ray" Perkins, Jr.
October 20, 1934 ~ May 27, 2018

Raymond Holmes Perkins, Jr. (Ray), age 83, died on May 27, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma, after fighting complications from an infection. Ray was loved by all who met him. He had a wonderful spirit and sense of humor.

Ray was born in Mt. Dora, Florida on October 20, 1934 to Raymond H. Perkins and Ruth Morgan Perkins. He, his younger brother, Ralph, and family soon moved to Milford, Connecticut where he graduated from Milford High School. He attended The University of Connecticut, where he studied philosophy, Business, and Computer Science. Ray had a long successful career as a Computer Programmer in the financial industry. While at UCONN, he met Nancy Ellen Mann, whom he married in 1960. Their daughter, Rachel, was born in 1961, followed by their sons, David in 1965, and Matthew in 1967. They lived in Goshen, Connecticut. Nancy died in 1972, and Ray remarried in 1975 to Eleanor Mosakowski, and her son, Steven, came to live with them as well. Upon the children moving out on their own in 1985, Ray and Ellie moved to Southern Pines, North Carolina. 

After Ellie's passing in 2012, Ray remained in Southern Pines until 2015 then moved to Enid, Oklahoma, to be closer to Family.

Ray enjoyed singing, reading, movies, crossword puzzles, bowling, and his little dog, Buster.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Nancy, his second wife, Eleanor, and his son, David.

He is survived by children, Rachel Ann Robertson of Shelton, CT, Steven Mosakowski of Torrington, CT, and Matthew Holmes Perkins of Enid Oklahoma. He is survived by numerous grandchildren and even a great-grandchild. 

A private family service occurred on June 1, 2018.
