William Paul "Bill" Peoples
May 10, 1971 ~ February 14, 2023

Bill Peoples, 51 year old rural Woodward resident, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

William "Bill" Paul Peoples was born on May 10, 1971 in Pampa, Texas to Paul and Sharen (Gordon) Peoples. Bill grew up on the family farm northwest of the Woodward Airport on Trunk Line Road. He attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School in 1989. During his school years he excelled in football and power lifting. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and later moved back to Woodward and worked for Westoak Production.

He enjoyed fantasy football, the Philadelphia Eagles, the oilfield, the farm and most of all he loved his daughter Pacee and his dog Rumble.

He is survived by his daughter Pacee Peoples of Lawton; one sister, Suzanne Fletcher and her son Solomon Fletcher; aunts: Jane Keaton and spouse Jackie, Ann Riley; cousins: Cogee Long, Rufus "Buddy" Cox, Carolyn Torix, Tim Riley and Andrea Riley; other relatives and many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sharon Peoples, grandparents, Estel and Mary Peoples and Anna Lee Cox and William Butler Gordon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
