Brenda Bernice Pennington, age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 24, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 9, 1962, in Pampa, Texas, to Sharon and Jimmy Pennington.

Brenda was a 1981 graduate of Booker High School and a 2001 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She worked as a hair stylist before and after the birth of her daughter, Lauren Renee, in 1984. Brenda loved her precious daughter, her family, and friends. She never met a stranger and was loved by many throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Pennington; grandparents, Gilbert and Reese Lawler and John and Bernice Pennington; her brother-in-law, Frank Haberl.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren McAnally and wife, Sarah, Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Sharon Pennington, Elk City, OK; sister, Renee Haberl, Copper Canyon, TX; brother, Steve Pennington and wife, Terri, Atascocita, TX; niece, Alison Sinitiere and husband, Paul, Houston, TX; nephew, Kyle Pennington and fiance` Lesa, Abilene, TX; niece, Hayley Forys and husband, Chris, Kingwood, TX; 3 great nieces, Jenna, Halle and Annie Sinitiere as well as a host of family, friends, and caregivers.
