Strang-
Johnny Lee Peckenpaugh, born on January 16, 1978, in Pryor,
Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Strang. He was a
beloved husband, father, son, brother, and a cherished friend.
Known for his big heart, Johnny always prioritized the needs of his family. His selflessness was evident as he consistently made sure that his wife and their children had everything they needed. A devoted family man, he took great pride in his role as a husband and father, finding joy in the little moments shared with his loved ones. He was a constant source of laughter and happiness, known for his goofiness that effortlessly made those around him smile.
Johnny’s passions were as diverse as his personality. He loved the outdoors, where he found peace while hunting, fishing, and enjoying the adventures of four-wheeling or days spent on the lake, boating. His interests extended to playing video games and watching Dinosaur movies, showcasing a playful spirit that resonated with his children. Additionally, he had a knack for working on cars and taking on various projects, often involving his children in these activities, imparting skills and knowledge to them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Peckenpaugh, and their children: Malachi Peckenpaugh, Winter Peckenpaugh, each of the home; Hayden Peckenpaugh of Pryor, OK; Jacob Santin of Pryor, OK; and Autumn Peckenpaugh of Big Cabin, OK. Johnny's legacy also lives on through his mother, Gwendolyn Harvey; his brother, James Marsh and wife Carrie of Pryor, OK; his sisters, April Rush and husband Jerry of Locust Grove, OK, Shardae Long of Pryor, OK, Dominique Peckenpaugh of Tahlequah, OK, and Christina Peckenpaugh of Pryor, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Donald Peckenpaugh.
