J. Leroy Payne

???? ~ 1967 | Age 48

Funeral services for J. Leroy Payne, 48, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday from the First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas, with Rev. Joe Dee Ray, officiating.

Payne was found dead on his oil lease northwest of Borger about 3 p.m. Thursday. He had apparently suffered a heart attack.

He was owner of J. L. Payne Welding Service, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Allen of Borger; Mrs. Charles Daves of Canyon; his mother, Mrs. Lela Payne of Hammon; three sisters, Mrs. D. P. Hubbart of Borger; Mrs. Albert Waters and Mrs. Ray Clark of Hammon; three brothers, Jack, Harry and Lester Payne of Hammon; and three grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

Interment was in Westlawn Memorial Park, Borger under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.
