Sara Ann Patterson

Sara Ann Patterson
April 9, 1981 ~ June 12, 2022

The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Sara Ann Patterson, 41, of Enid, OK, formerly of Lockport, NY, will be held at a later date in Gasport, NY. Open visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Local arrangements and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Sara was born to Jay and Mary Stranges Patterson on April 9, 1981, in Newfane, NY. Sara passed from this life peacefully at her home on June 12, 2022, in Enid. She was raised and educated in Lockport, NY, and graduated from Lockport High School in 1999. Following high school, she attended Niagara County Community College, pursuing her passion of art. She worked in the childcare industry and as a medical courier for several years in Medina, NY. In 2015, she moved to Wichita, KS, to be near her brother, where she worked in homecare and at the county courthouse. She moved to Enid in 2017, following her brother's military career in the United States Air Force. Since 2017, she worked for Hallcon transportation, supporting Union Pacific Railroad Co., where she was known as a very thoughtful, caring, and hard-working coworker and friend.

She had a naturally abundantly caring heart. Sara loved children and animals, especially her family dog, Scout. She continued her passion for art in painting and creating home décor for her and her family.

She is survived by her parents and grandparents, Joseph and Sharon Stranges of Gasport, NY; her brother Justin of Sumter, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she's touched throughout her life.

Memorials may be made in her name to 4RKids or the Enid SPCA, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com.
