Linda “Angel Lady” (Martineau) Patterson

Linda “Angel Lady” (Martineau) Patterson
May 16, 1953 ~ April 6, 2026

Linda Patterson, age 72, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on May 16, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, to Raymond Wilfred Martineau and Agnes Wilma (TeGrootenhuis) Martineau. She graduated from Canyon High School and spent many years living in Lancaster, California, before moving to Oklahoma in 2013.

Affectionately known as the “Angel Lady,” Linda was known for her compassionate spirit and generous heart. She was a proud member of the Blue Star Mothers of America since 2007 and dedicated much of her life to supporting United States troops, a cause she held dear since the Vietnam War. Linda lovingly created more than 50,000 handmade paper clip angels, sending them to service members as small symbols of encouragement, hope, and protection.

Linda enjoyed dancing, singing, and writing, and she found joy in creative expression and sharing kindness with others. She had a special love for angels, dragonflies, her faith in God, and time spent with her family. Her devotion to the Catholic faith guided her life and inspired the way she cared for others.

Those who knew Linda remember her for her compassion and empathy. Through her words, actions, and countless handmade angels, she reminded people that even the smallest gesture of kindness can make a difference. Linda wished to be remembered for her devotion to her faith and for her unwavering support of the men and women who serve in the United States military.

Linda is survived by her children, Tiffany Martineau of Victorville, California, and Christiaan Patterson (Will Edds) of Greer, South Carolina; her stepson, Bryan Jobe (Denia) of San Diego, California; her father, Raymond Wilfred Martineau; two brothers, Layne Martineau (Jane) of Lancaster, California, and Larry Martineau (Elata) of Cross Plains, Texas; her grandchild, Heather Martineau-Arnot; step-grandchildren, Mariah Jobe and Ripp Jobe; great-grandchildren, Leo Arnot, Violet Arnot, Benjamin Villasenor. and Oliver Arnot; and her beloved furbaby, Rambo Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Martineau, and her grandson, Benjamin Villasenor.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on April 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Antelope Valley Blue Star Mothers Chapter 14, P.O. Box 4667, Lancaster, CA 93539.
