Ivan “Scott” Patterson, 63, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026.
He was born, September 2, 1962, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Ivan and Janita Patterson.
Scott graduated from Shawnee High School with the class of 1980. Growing up he played basketball, football and golf. His high school friends gave him the nickname “Bull”, and it has stayed with him his entire life. Scott learned to play golf as a young boy and spent many, many days playing at the Elks Country Club, where he was a lifetime member, and various other courses.
He lived a full life and had many crazy, fun-loving and joyful moments with family and friends. His true joy in life was his children and grandchildren. He spent countless hours with them and loved to spoil all of them rotten with road trips, snow cone trips, eating out trips, cross country trips or anywhere he could talk them into going around Oklahoma – He loved a captive audience.
Scott has spent a lifetime in roofing, construction and remodeling and grew up in and, at one time helped run the family business, Patterson Roofing and Sheet Metal. He later went out on his own with RGP Restoration, working with fire and water restoration and remodeling. In the past few years, he worked for Phenomenal Roofing and Construction.
He put his faith in God in his mid-20s and was baptized and spent many of his years attending church and seeking his purpose with God and worshipping Him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Roy Patterson; and an infant brother, Thomas Curtis Patterson.
Scott is survived by his daughters, Ashley and Cody Stanford, Shawnee; McKayla Patterson and Nick Green, Shawnee; mother, Janita Patterson, Shawnee; step-sons, Josh Liles, Stillwater, Cody Liles, Heavener, Logan Liles, Eufaula and Cody and Kathryn Hobbs, Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Bobby Anderson, Shawnee, Roxann Grinnell (Patterson), Eufaula; nephew, Jared and Kayse Anderson, Harrah; and niece, Heather Anderson, Decatur, TX; grandchildren, Bryson VanDyke, Cade Stanford, Nichole and Easton Green, Adley Liles, Lane and Liam Liles; grand-niece, Blair Anderson; his Aunt Glen; and many loving cousins and friends.
