Frances Lucille (Patton) Patterson

January 30, 1917 ~ September 17, 1992

Services were held for Frances Lucille Patton Patterson, 75, daughter of Lois L. McKay and Alex M. Patton who was born near Leedey on January 30, 1917. She died September 17, 1992 in Community Hospital, Elk City.

Mrs. Patterson spent her early life on the family farm located in Liberty Center community northwest of Leedey.

She received her education in Liberty Center school and graduated in 1935.

Frances Patterson and Jack Patton were united on December 30, 1936, in Cheyenne.

This young couple chose a farm northwest of Leedey where they established their first home. Later they moved to Leedey where they lived for many years. Following the death of her husband in 1974, she continued making her home in Leedey until 1980. She then moved to Elk City where she lived the past 12 years.

Mrs. Patterson loved ranching and all outdoor life, including gardening and flower culture.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Patton and her husband, Jack Patterson.

She is survived by one sister, Thelma Patterson, Elk City; one brother, Billy Patton, also of Elk City; three nieces, three nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews, three great great nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends.
