Annie Margariette (Eason) Patterson
October 13, 1932 ~ October 29, 2018

On October 29th, 2018 Annie Margariette Patterson (Tommie Jackson) joined her loving family in heaven. 

Margariette was a loving mother, grandmother & sister. She was born October 13, 1932, in, Lone Oak, Arkansas to Albert Hayes Eason Sr. and Viola Lasiter Eason. She was born on the farm they lived on, where she grew up helping her dad in the rice fields of Arkansas. In 1955 she moved to England Arkansas where they owned their farm. Her older brother Hayes Jr. was a Navy solider who fought in World War II, and she left school in the 9th grade to go to the rice fields with her daddy. Where she drove a tractor, and other farm equipment. As a teenager, she worked for Remington Arms and enjoyed the sport of softball. In the 1960's she married Howard Leon Jackson Sr., they owned and operated Jackson construction, where they worked all over the states of Arkansas & Oklahoma. The raised three children Elizabeth Jackson Parker, Lesa Jackson Thompson, and Howard Leon Jackson Jr. After leaving Jackson construction, she worked for Goins water pipeline out of Copan, Ok. She then went on to hold a position as the first woman hired at the city service pipeline in Caney, Ks. She later retired from city service pipelines and made her home in DeValls Bluff Arkansas with her late husband Larry Wayne Patterson Sr. 

Margariette had a passion for the outdoors. She loved fishing and hunting. She enjoyed crocheting and canning where she won many awards at various fairs and competitions throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma. But more importantly, she enjoyed teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-niece how to cook and crochet. She was known as Grandma Tommie to the children of her neighborhood. Her love for the Arkansas Razorbacks, New Orleans Saints, and Oklahoma City Thunder was undeniable. You could find her in her recliner on games days cheering them on. Her new favorite words were Who Dat" and "What up dog." 

Margariette was known for her love of her family. Her kind, gentle care of her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her sweet smile, quick wit, and personality. She will be missed and remembered by so many as she laid her mark on this world and our hearts. 

Margarette is preceded in death by her father Hayes Eason Sr., her mother Viola Eason, Brothers Hayes Eason Jr., and James Buddy Eason, late husband Larry Patterson Sr., Son Howard Leon Jackson Jr, and daughter Lesa Ann Thompson. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Jackson Parker of Bartlesville, Grandaughter Krystal Shook & husband Michel and two grandchildren Kloie & Jax, of Caney, Ks, Grandson Bobby Thompson and great-granddaughter Piper Thompson of Copan, Ok. Her sister Bernice Cole of St. Louis. Mo., and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, at the Spirit Church West Campus, 900 S Dewey Ave.

 Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
