Alvin Don Parsley

Alvin Don Parsley
September 12, 1930 ~ December 10, 2013

Parsley, Alvin D., age 83, of MWC, went to be with the Lord Dec 9, 2013 in MWC. Born Sep12, 1930 in Lymon, OK to EL and Dollie Parsley.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Al made a good life for his family as a long haul truck driver. He was a wonderful and giving man. He was always willing to help others in whatever they needed whether it was food, lawn mowing, taxi driver or a fix it man. Al was known and loved by many people. He was known as PaPa to kids all over the city. He served as a Deacon at Crest Baptist Church for many years. As an avid athlete up until 83 years of age, he enjoyed swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, softball, running and working out at Rose State gym. He loved his family and his pets with a passion. He was seen many days walking his (and other family) dogs Pedro, Peanut, Drama, Princess and Shadow in the park. He also loved his birds Pete and Pat.

Preceded in death by parents EL and Dollie Parsley and brother J.R. Parsley.

Survived by 3 daughters Donna Stanley and husband Ron, Marsha Perry and husband Jeff, Kimberly Wells, 3 grandchildren Fred Miller, Brittainy Burns both of MWC, Ayla Wimmer and husband Michael of Del City, great grandchild Tyler Harmon of MWC, sister Oleta Cornelius and husband J.N. of Rule, TX, and former wife of 46 years Peggy Parsley of MWC, OK.
