Sharon Lynne (Cline) Palmer

Sharon Lynne (Cline) Palmer
January 11, 1950 ~ July 25, 2022

Sharon Lynne (Cline) Palmer, of Prague, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Sharon was born in Seminole, on January 11, 1950. She was the daughter of James Andrew and Dorothy Jean (Moye) Cline. Sharon grew up in Seminole, attended Seminole Public School, and was a 1968 graduate of Seminole High School. Sharon later attended East Central University.

Following graduation from East Central University, Sharon dedicated her life to teaching children. She started teaching at Prague Elementary School in 1985. Sharon was a teacher at heart. She loved to watch children grow and learn. She taught fourth grade students at Prague, for over 20 years. Sharon retired from teaching in 2013. She later decided to go back to work at Prague Schools, where she served as a library aid at the Prague Early Childhood Center until 2020.

Sharon married Richard Jack Palmer in March of 1991. The couple made their home in Prague. They were happily married until his passing on March 8, 2020.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching them to read, reading with them and introducing them to the classic television shows she loved, especially, the Andy Griffith Show. Sharon also had a special place for animals in her heart. She never met a stray cat that she did keep and take care of. In her spare time, you would often find Sharon spending time with her best friends, B.J. and Jeanetta or enjoying and evening at a casino.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of more than 28 years, Richard Jack Palmer and one sister, Jeannie Graves.

She is survived by her son, Brock Ward of Prague; her daughter, Leslie Goad and her husband, Michael of Del City; two grandchildren, Taryn Ward and Makenna Ward of Prague and one brother, Richard Cline of Seminole. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

At Sharon's request, all services are private.
