Thank You For Your Service!

William Dennis "Denny" Painton

William Dennis "Denny" Painton
February 11, 1932 ~ March 24, 2021

Funeral service for William Dennis "Denny" Painton, 89, of Fairview, Oklahoma, will be 2 P.M., Saturday, March 27, at Fairview First Baptist. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Dennis Painton left this earth for his heavenly home while surrounded by his loved ones and holding hands with the love of his life on March 24, 2021, in Fairview.

Dennis was born February 11, 1932, in Fairview, to Dennis and Sadie (Clements) Painton. He is a 1950 graduate of Seiling High School and attended college at Oklahoma Baptist University; in Bolivar, Missouri; and at Central State University before the Korean War.

In 1953 he was drafted into the Army and served in the 516th Searchlight Battery where he repaired two-way radios in Erlangen, Germany. That training began a lifelong fascination with electronics, and he attained an Extra-class amateur radio license and became an instructor and examiner for amateur radio licensing.

Dennis worked for more than 20 years at Monahan Ready Mix in Fairview and spent a lifetime raising cattle and wheat.

He married Nadine (Arndt) Merrill on March 20, 1981.

He is survived by Nadine; his children Myron (Pam) Merrill and Laurie (Jo) Gwinn; five grandchildren Amber Edwards; Myron (Elizabeth) Merrill; Will, Pete, and Lars Gwinn; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairview, Helena, or Seiling.

Condolences may be made online at www.fairviewfuneralhomeinc.com.
