Dorothy “Dottie” Koester (Koyster) Pace

Dorothy “Dottie” Koester (Koyster) Pace
February 4, 1939 ~ July 23, 2023

Dorothy “Dottie” Koester (Koyster) Pace was born in Bloomington, Indiana on February 4, 1939 and passed from this life on July 23, 2023. Dottie grew up in the country in Indiana, working outside and even doing some hunting. At 18 years old she moved to the “big city” of Indianapolis where she began working for Western Electric, from which she retired after almost 40 years.

Apart from her employment, Dottie was also a full-time single mother, raising Anthony, Doretta and Tim. In 1985 she moved to Oklahoma. She loved being outside, but if she was inside she was watching “Wheel of Fortune” and “The Price Is Right” or doing puzzles of all kinds.

Dottie was country-girl tough and had beaten liver cancer many decades ago. She also went through some very difficult challenges in her life.

Dottie was preceded in death by her son, Anthony, and seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Doretta; son, Tim; and their families.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel. Burial in Lebanon, Indiana is pending.
