William Wayne 'Bill' Owens

April 19, 1946 ~ January 15, 2008

Owens, William 'Bill' Wayne, 61, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away January 15, 2008 in OKC. Bill was born in Minco, Oklahoma April 19, 1946.

He served in the US Navy from 1964-1968.

He was a guitarist and a fisherman who enjoyed the life outdoors. His conscientious heart motivated him to rescue 'Rose', an English bulldog who became his guardian and best friend. He was surrounded by his loving family in his last days. That, combined with his great faith in the Lord, comforted him and sustained him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Lena Owens.

Bill is survived by his daughters Kim and Amy Owens; granddaughter Micaela; sisters, Pat and husband Bob Jones, Donna and husband Jim Mahlman, and Stevi Taylor; and 25 nieces and nephews.

He left with each of us a part of his kind and generous spirit.
