Marilyn Kay (Rogers) Overholt

Marilyn Kay (Rogers) Overholt
January 20, 1953 - October 12, 2020

Marilyn Kay Overholt passed away unexpectedly at her home in Stillwater on Monday, October 12, 2020. She was 67. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Marilyn was born January 20, 1953 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Jackie and Evelyn (Frank) Rogers. She grew up on the family farm in Stillwater that is now home to Sunnybrook Christian Church. From 1975 to 2004 she worked in the family business, Rogers Construction Company with her dad, mom and brother, building many homes in the Stillwater area. After her dads passing in 2004 she started working at the Morrison Café where she worked until her passing. On June 2, 1970 she married Maurice Overholt in Stillwater. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Jodi and Jami. After that union was dissolved, Marilyn remained in Stillwater close to her family and friends. She enjoyed greeting all of the customers at the café and was eager to sing happy birthday in her Marilyn Monroe voice every chance she could. You may even hear a big “Yee Haw” from time to time as well. She was an avid OSU Cowboy fan as well. She loved her flowers, making crafts with her grandkids, and her kittys.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jodi Fletcher and husband Keith of Stillwater, OK, and Jami Baker and husband James of Morrison, OK; four grandchildren, Brennan Thompson, Anna Thompson, Jaci Baker, and Jackson Baker; one brother, Gary Rogers and wife Micki of Stillwater, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from noon until 8PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.dightonmarler.com

Those who wish to send flowers are welcome to do so, but if you would rather make a donation, Marilyn would love if you would consider the Tiny paws kitten rescue of Stillwater.
