Annie Larue "Ann" (Booker) Orr

Annie "Ann" Larue Orr, age 97 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on July 2, 2019. She was born on December 9, 1921 in Mount Calm, Texas to Early "E.M." and Jeanette (Kay) Booker.

Ann married Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Orr on February 19, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas. She was employed at the Texas Tech University in the Library where she oversaw student employees. She had lived in Guthrie for a year and was a member of the Church of Christ in Edmond. Ann enjoyed cooking, making jewelry, knitting, audio books and working jigsaw puzzles. She lived the fullest of lives, impacting countless people from all walks of life all along the way by her faithful example.

Survivors include her three children, Woody Leon Orr and wife Robbi of Stevenson, WA; Scotty Orr of Jeffersonville, GA; Telesa Williams and husband Bill of Edmond. She is also survived by her sister Mary Lois Montandon of Albuquerque, NM, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Woody Orr in 1998, daughter Jana Dean, 3 brothers, Marshall Booker, Julian Booker and Ewell Booker; 2 sisters, Jewell Curry and Nelda Shuman.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the West Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas with Minister Bill Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Hayes Funeral Home. Flowers can be delivered on Wednesday.
