Mavis Frances (Bevens) Bryan Bray Chadwick Olive

April 30, 1932 ~ June 2, 2006

There will be no public services for Mavis Olive, 74, of Chickasha.

Mavis Frances Bevens was born April 30, 1932, in Neodesha, Kansas, the only child of Frank Lewis and Mavis Artha (Dunlap) Bevens. She passed away peacefully on June 2, 2006.

Mavis came to Chickasha in 1970, after 18 years of marriage to Coach Harold Lewis Bryan of El Dorado, Kansas.

Mavis was an avid collector, stand up comedian, garage sale queen, card player, and Wally World shopper. She enjoyed her home, family, friends, and her senior citizens Bridge game and Pinochle buddies. She made many special friends throughout her lifetime.

She left many love notes asking God to make room for her because she was in pain, tired, and ready to go be with her husband of 18 years, Bobby Lea Olive, who preceded her in death on October 13, 2005.

She is survived by daughter, Mavis Bryan, of Chickasha; son, Robert Bryan, of Eureka, Kansas; grandmother to Kelley and Michele Workman, of Carmel, IN, Bryan and Kari Workman, of Chickasha, Rebecca Bryan, of Wichita, Kansas, Jessica Patterson and Andrea Williams, of Eureka, Kansas; and nine precious great grandchildren.

Many thanks to Jimmie Smith, Dr. Linda Johnson, Dr. Laura Black-Wicks, Casey Walker, the Clinic Pharmacy, Dr. Coe, EMR people, everyone who helped take good care of mom throughout her years in Chickasha, and Ferguson Funeral Home at her end.

A special thank you from our family to those of you who took the time and laughed, joked, and showed mom kindness throughout her years on earth. . .

"May the Lord Almighty God of All Save and Bless You and Yours Abundantly in All Things Good in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!"

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
