Christie June Olds
August 5, 1961 ~ September 6, 2020 (age 59)

Christie June Olds was born to James David ‘J.D.’ and Harla June (Sparks) Olds on August 5, 1961, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She passed away on September 6, 2020, in Oklahoma City at the age of 59.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 18, at 3:00 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church West, officiating. Those wishing to view her service virtually may contact the family for a livestream link. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed at the memorial service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Chris was a 1980 graduate of Duncan High School and then attended Cameron University. She was employed as an HTS worker at Big Five Community Services. She enjoyed bowling, being at her home, and her friends. She and her daughter loved to take short day trips together. Chris loved to collect recipes and loved trying new foods. She also enjoyed playing board and card games, working puzzles and watching Hallmark Channel television. During the last few years, she liked keeping in touch with friends through Facebook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Jeremy Olds; and grandparents: Troy Edgar and Dorothy Ruth Sparks, Laura and Jack Olds.

Chris is survived by her daughter, Lindsye Boatman; sister, Kim Johnson; aunts and uncles: Jimmy Ted Whitt, Dub and Carolyn Rimmer, Dorothy Olds, Perry and Glo Sparks; nieces: Nikki Johnson, Heather Whitt; nephew, Clint Johnson; cousins: Robert, Rebecca, Elbert, Buddy, Tamara Boice; Jim McClain; Kimberlee, Dubby Lynn, Tiffany Rimmer; Lori, Kelly Sparks; Trent, Brian, Donald David, Joni Sparks; Tammy Sanford; Jimmy, Marty, Kevin, Mike Whitt; and many others.
