Michael Anthony "Mike" O'Hara
September 27, 1953 ~ March 19, 2015 (age 61)

Mike O’Hara was born September 27, 1953 in El Reno, OK, the son of Michael A. Jr and Patsy Rae (Stream) O’Hara and died March 19, 2015 at home in Norman, OK.

Mike lived in El Reno through Jr. High School and then moved to Watonga. He graduated High School 1971, He started college at age 17 at O.U. and moved to Norman. He met his wife Lisa Henry Bristow and moved back to Watonga. After his divorce he moved back to Norman.

He spent many years hay hauling, racing and building cars, earning him the nickname “Race”, 23 years in the oilfield including jobs as an Environmental Engineer, and later in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister Deborah O’Hara, his parents Michael A. Jr. and Patsy Rae, his grandparents Michael and Elba O’Hara, G.C. and Bessie Stream.

Survivors include Robert and Jimi Lou O’Hara of Elk City and a number of other cousins. Kristen Ramos, a good friend and caregiver. Many lifelong friends including Mark Cox and Sarge Upright. Mike held all of his friends close and wants to celebrate with them what he considered a full and wonderful life.

Honorary pallbearers Mark Cox, Brian Dickson, Tommy Lewis, Doyle Dittmore, John Knapp, John Ray, Mark Allen and Sarge Upright.

Visitation for Mike will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
