Claremore-
Melissa Jane Ogle, born on May 6, 1948, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Melissa lived a life filled with joy and warmth, cherishing her family above all.
She is survived by her sons, Rob Ogle and his wife Renee of Claremore, OK, and Travis Ogle and his wife Stacia of Hackettstown, NJ. Additionally, she will be remembered fondly by her brother, Michael Monett and his wife Marla of Owasso, OK; her sisters, Jody Schau and husband Augie of Arrowsic, ME, and Judith Caldwell of Clayton, NM; and her beloved grandchildren, Kody, Ashley, Dakota, Matt, Emma, John, and Katie Ogle.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, James Floyd Monett and Mary Jane (Bolden) Monett, as well as her husband, Dennis Ogle.
Throughout her life, Melissa had many interests and hobbies that reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed being outdoors, finding pleasure in activities such as fishing and camping. She also delighted in shopping, hunting antiques, bowling, crocheting, genealogy, and traveling. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending quality time with her family and watching her grandkids grow. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Gene Ogle officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home.
