Brenda Joy (Stroud) Offutt
February 26, 1951 ~ July 23, 2021

Brenda Joy Stroud-Offutt passed away in her home on July 23, 2021, at the age of 70, with her family by her side. She was born to Denton Charles Stroud and Mary Helen Hansert-Stroud in Manchester, Tennessee on February 26, 1951.

On February 6, 1971, Brenda was united in marriage with James Lee Offutt, whom she loved dearly.

Brenda worked for Medicalodge of Dewey for many years serving lastly as the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor and Amazon.com where she was also a gift wrapper extraordinaire. She had a lot of other interests and hobbies including bowling, bingo, and baseball, where she active in the Little League in Dewey for both her children and her grandchildren. She loved all these things, but her favorite was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and celebrating the holidays. Brenda was also a council member in the town of Wann.

Brenda is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Donald Offutt, her mother-in-law Marie Offutt, her parents Denton and Mary, her nephew Lloyd Lee Offutt, as well as multiple aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband James Offutt, her daughter Dawn and husband Mike DeWeese, her son Scott and wife Laura Offutt, her sister Mary Nix, her brother Charles Stroud, her grandchildren: Lil Scott, Brianna Joy, Cassie, Abby, and Shyanne, Ruby, Audry, John McCowan and his wife Susannah and Colee McCowan and three great-grandsons Elliott Myles Winget and Carter and Corbin McCowan.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her.

A family memorial service will be held at Christ Community Church 5210 SE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10am. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Washington County SPCA in memorial of Brenda Joy Offutt.
