Lizelotte "Liz" Offenberg

July 7, 1949 ~ Nov. 20, 2014

Lizelotte "Liz" Offenberg was born July 7, 1949, in Haarlem Holland, of the Netherlands, to Karyl and Neisja Offenberg and died Nov. 20, 2014, at Kenwood Manor, in Enid, after a long battle with illness.

Liz and her parents immigrated from Holland when Liz was 9 years old. She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School.

In the 70s, Liz lived in California with her then-husband and had their two boys, returning to Oklahoma in the early 80s.

She loved working in her garden and having plenty of animals around her at all times. Anyone who knew her would say she said what she was thinking no matter what.

Liz was a very caring person and will be missed greatly by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Liz is survived by her two children and four grandchildren, Joshua Bittle and wife Jill and their sons, Jeremiah, Joseph, Jerod, of Del City, Okla., and Jesse Bittle and wife Laurie and their daughter, Lilie, of Oceanside, Calif.

The family would like to thank Carter Home Health and the staff at Kenwood Manor who treated her with love and kindness.

Liz will be cremated and, at her wish, no service will be held.

However, a register book is available for signing at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Enid SPCA, through the funeral home, as this was something near and dear to Liz.

Condolences at www.enidwecare.com.
