Coy Lyn Odom, Sr.
March 26, 1938 ~ July 9, 2017

Coy Lyn Odom, Sr., a longtime resident of California, and current resident of Durant, Oklahoma, left this life on Sunday July 9, 2017, at the age of 79 years 3 months and 13 days. He was born in Selma, California on March 26, 1938 to William and Dorothy (Churchwell) Odom. Coy married Beverly Azevedo in Modesto, California on January 12, 1996. 

Coy was a resident of California for 70 years, he made his home in Durant for the last 9 years. He considered himself a "jack-of-all-trades" and made his living as a mechanic. Coy enjoyed a quiet day of fishing, woodworking, seeing new places by traveling, and taking cruises. He liked working in his yard, and looking for treasures at garage sales. 

Mr. Odom is survived by his wife, Beverly Odom of the home; sons, Coy Lynn Odom, Jr. of Modesto, California, and Steve Odom and wife Amparo of Vacaville, California; daughter, Samantha Hewitt Tyler of Modesto, California; brothers, Tom Odom and wife Sandy of Wichita, Kansas, and William Odom and wife Carol of Freemont, California; and five grandchildren. 

Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Odom; and 1st wife.
