Bobbie (Breeze) O'Dey

Jan. 21, 1931 ~ May 13, 2002

VEGA - Bobbie O'Dey, 71, died Monday, May 13, 2002, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega with the Rev. Steve Cox of First United Methodist Church in Vega officiating. Arrangements are by Vega Funeral Home.

Mrs. O'Dey was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Carter, Okla. She had lived in Vega for 20 years, working as a cook in restaurants for Don Krahn and Harvey Floyd. She moved to Amarillo 15 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, K.W. O'Dey; her parents, Tom and Blanche Breeze; and a son, Garrel Powers.

Survivors include a daughter, Kerri Lynn Batenhorst and husband, Don, of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, April, Kayla, Michael, Garrel Jr., Lisa and Lori.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo, 2820 Virginia Circle, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Vega Funeral Home.

The family will be at 2402 Anna St. in Amarillo.
