Rhonda Fay (Holland) O'Connor

Rhonda Fay (Holland) O'Connor
October 5, 1962 ~ March 5, 2023

Just two months ago, Tim O’Connor informed the family that Rhonda had begun a journey that she had been anticipating her whole life. As the news spread everyone had a Rhonda story filled with common themes of faith, family life, and joy. Her journey on this side of eternity ended March 5, 2023. Rhonda’s family rests in the blessed assurance that she is now with God, Christ, and loved ones that were already waiting for her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Rhonda Fay O’Connor was born Rhonda Holland on October 5, 1962, in Levelland, TX. She graduated from Levelland High School in 1981, and graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1986.

She met the love of her life, Timothy Patrick O’Connor, while at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and they were married on May 10, 1986, in Weatherford, OK. They had two sons, Ryan Patrick O’Connor in 1987 and Chad Patrick O’Connor in 1989.

Rhonda and Tim lived in Tyler, Palestine, White House and Lubbock, Texas, before settling in Tim’s hometown of Ponca City in 1994, where they continued their careers in Pharmacy at the O’Connor Pharmacy.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father Robert (Bob) Holland and Ruth Holland.

She is survived by: her husband, Tim O’Connor; her son, Ryan and wife, Kathleen O’Connor, of Plano, TX, and her other son, Chad and wife, Lacey O’Connor, of Baton Rouge, LA; her brother, Brad and wife, Denise Holland of Rowlett, TX; her sister-in-law, Kathy and husband, Brian Horner, of Edmond, OK, and many nieces and nephews.

Rhonda was anticipating the birth of her first grandchild, to be born to Ryan and Kathleen in April. Though they will never meet on this side of eternity, the love, faithfulness, instruction, joy, humor, kindness, and purpose that she poured into her family will influence and shape her descendants for years to come.

While we will miss her, we will remember forever her thousand questions, camping trips, “I’m cold, put on your sweater”, “put on your hat”, hippidy hop to the doughnut shop, “drink your water”, and a thousand other Rhonda memories that will bless our lives.
