Janis Kay (Wilton) Nossaman

June 08, 1946 ~ February 01, 2019

Celebration of life services for Janis Nossaman, 72, Enid resident, will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Lester Lowry, officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.Janis was born on June 8, 1946 in Alva, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clifford James and Virginia Rose Watkins Wilton, and passed away peacefully on February 1, 2019 in Enid.

With her death, she will be reunited with her mother, Virginia Rose Wilton and father, Clifford James Wilton, her husband, Kenneth LeRoy Nossaman.

As the daughter of an Army officer, she lived in Japan, Germany, and throughout the United States. On June 30, 1965, Janis married Kenneth LeRoy Nossaman. They lived in Baytown, Texas before returning to Oklahoma. Janis and Kenny were married 39 years before his passing in 2004. Janis and Kenny were given the gift of a daughter Carol Kay Nossaman.

Janis was an active member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, serving as Sunday School Teacher, Children's Church Leader. Along with her husband and daughter, ran a church bus ministry. Janis was church secretary for over 25 years. Janis held many positions in her life, Secretary for Exxon member's only clinic in Baytown, Texas. She also worked at TG&Y, McRoys and Alco in Cherokee, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Nossaman of Enid. Remembrances may be shared online at
