Paul Tetreau Norwood

August 4, 1936 ~ July 30, 2007

Norwood, Paul Tetreau 70 of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away on July 30th, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. Paul was born August 4th 1936 in Weiser Idaho to Paul and Amy Tetreau. Upon his father's death, Paul was adopted by James Paul (J.P.) Norwood of Idabel, Oklahoma. Paul and his brother grew up in Idabel, Oklahoma. He graduated from Idabel High School in 1954 and later attended the University of Oklahoma and received his Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Geology. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity during his time at OU.

Upon graduating from OU he served as an Officer in the United States Air Force. His service included many tours in Vietnam and served our country until retiring as a Major in 1979.

After his service Paul was a Landman and Geologist for Sam Noble Affiliates, and subsequently owned a commercial appraisal business, appropriately named Setter Appraisal.

Paul was a man who loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and golf were his passion but his biggest passion in life was his family.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Amy and J.P. Norwood.

Paul is survived in death by his wife Peggy Goolsby Norwood, daughter Christy Anne Holland and husband Tip Holland, of Oklahoma City, son Paul Herbert Norwood and wife Angela Norwood, of Midwest City. He is also survived by his loving brother Dr. O'tar Tetreau Norwood of Oklahoma City. Grandchildren include Hank, T.J., and Samuel Paul Holland and Coby Tetreau and Carly Elizabeth Norwood.

Paul will also be missed by his many long time friends and a loving family of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Full Life Hospice and Lisa and Chester Level for the wonderful care they provided. A Memorial Celebration with be held on Thursday August 2, 2007, 4 p.m., at Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home in Midwest City.
